the festival season begin in rajasthan .the next festival is sinjaara and teej that is on next week .this festival dedicated to women .this is best time to be in Rajasthan. this festival time is the good time to visit rajasthan ,u can see and enjoy the culture .this festival celebrated in sharavana .
                                                                                                                       according to local belief this the day when goddess pravati reunited with lord shiva after long separation .the day is consider very holy as in this day whosoever worship goddess pravati is blessed with happy married life and all the wishes are fulfilled .married women pray for long happy married life and seek blessing from lord shiva and goddess pravati. men on other hand pray for good rainy season and good crop which will turn brings happiness in the family .

The celebration .the festival is which is considered symbol of joy and happy married life is celebrated  for two days sinjara and teej .sinjara is celebrated the day before teej .this day women put mehndi on their hand wear lehriya poshak aur saree.sinjara is also for newly wed women they get gift from thier in laws .which also known as sinjara this includes ghevar .lehriya saree aur poshak .bindi .and all the sola shingar item(makeup poshak .,kohal,bangles,heena  etc)

                                                                                                        on the day of teej women and girls wearing beautiful attire  like lehriya saree aur lehriya poshak with traditional jewellery .they perform traditional dance and sing teej songs while the enjoying swings hung on the tree.A special part of teej celebration is teej katha .women gather and hear story of legends associated with the legends .women also do fast.
